Eric Ruden President – OwnerEric Ruden has owned Essential Pest Management for the past four years. He is married with 3 children and has lived in Tucson his whole life. Eric has 16 years of industry experience and was the former Vice President of a large competing firm before he received his opportunity to buy Essential Pest Management. Eric holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and a Project Management Certificate both from the University of Phoenix. Eric has worked hard as an advocate for small business within the Tucson Community.
Eric started as a technician working hard advancing his career within the industry. His current focus is on building a company committed to providing high quality pest control service at reasonable rates. Eric currently serves on the Arizona Pest Professional Organization’s Board of Directors. The organization’s mission is educating consumers and improving industry standards. Eric is committed to providing exceptional customer service through his organization and industry.

Corinne Ortiz – General ManagerCorinne Ortiz has been with Essential Pest Management for three years. Corinne is married and has 3 elementary age children. She is a Tucson Native and still dreads the 110 degrees summers. Corinne has over 13 years of industry experience, working for a large competing firm. In her previous position she managed 25 employees and was responsible for three million in revenue. Corinne is also active in the community volunteering through her church and business groups.
Corinne was hired as the General Manager of Essential Pest Management due to her industry experience and knowledge. She quickly made several changes to improve customer service, company image and overall organizational efficiency which accounts for much of Essential’s recent success. She is currently a member of Women’s Council of Realtors Tucson Chapter and is on the Membership Committee for Givers Gain Chapter of BNI. Corinne’s focus is on maintaining day-to-day operations overseeing all departments and works on building relationships that benefit the community and organization.
Robert Romero – Termite ManagerRobert Romero has been with Essential Pest Management for 14 years. Robert married his high school sweetheart and he is a father of two. His daughter attends the University of Arizona and is on the University of Arizona club soccer team, his son is in high school and is active in multiple sports. Robert has 4 years of military experience in the air force and army reserves. He is community minded volunteering his time coaching little league baseball and youth football for the last 8 years.
Robert started his career in the pest management industry at Essential Pest Management. He started as a residential pest control technician and has held several different positions advancing his career. Currently he is the Termite Manager overseeing three departments including the Termite, Weed Control, and Real Estate departments. Robert represents Essential at the Southern Arizona Homebuilders Association and the Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Robert works personally with many of Essential’s key clients including property managers and realtors. Robert prides himself on providing high quality customer service that he would expect at his own home.
Philip Burger – Pest Control ManagerPhil Burger has been with Essential Pest Management for over two years. He is married and has a young boy. Phil originally started his pest management career in Buffalo, New York as a commercial/ residential pest control technician. In 2006, Phil decided to give up the east coast weather and soak up the southwest sunshine and moved to Tucson.
Phil started his employment at Essential as a residential pest control technician and in June of 2009 was promoted to Pest Control Manager as the newest member of the management team. Phil has a passion for photography and graphic arts and is an artist at heart. His talents can easily be seen in Essential’s marketing and training materials. Phil’s key to success has been utilizing his talents and experience to educate and train his staff in the Residential and Commercial Pest Control departments. His department’s focus is providing pest free environments for each and everyone of our client’s homes.
